Triple X! The big three oh! Whatever the name, another episode has arrived! And this one has scores of good songs and ballads as well. Tycho leads the way with another stellar track from his album Past is Prologue. If you haven’t noticed already, this album is stellar. I can’t get off of it. Don’t expect the Tycho to stop in future episodes ok? More tracks in the tune of folk follow from Pale Young Gentlemen, Horse Feathers, Minotaur Shock, and CALLmeKAT. The New Balearic would also like to welcome back B Fleischmann with open arms, as his album Angst Is Not A Weltanschauung! is due to hit shelves soon. It will be good. Also returning is Calgarian Jordan Klassen with a stellar track from his anticipated upcoming album, Tempest & Winter. The New Balearic also continues it’s hunt around the globe, finding some Japanese experimentals in the form of AOKI Takamasa and Motohiro Nakashima, as well some irresistible African pop from Amadou and Mariam and Esau Mwamwaya as The Very Best.
Cheers!

the walkmen track is indeed great-been hearing their name for a while, glad to finally attach a sound to it. loving the minotaur shock track also-gots to gets me the new album. have you heard minotaur’s “big light” bruce? appeared on a compilation a few years ago and is similar to “this plane…” in a weird all-dance-music-should-be-this-clever-and-damn-groovy kinda way. anyhow i’ll stop rambling now and give thanks once again for another wonderful musical menagerie
